Contemplating
20060402 | Sunday | 2007
I was having a drink at the café tonight, sitting at the end of the risen platform outside. I often sit there and stare blankly at the ever busy Beaufort St. As more and more people walked past I started to wonder how many of them had a livejournal? (should that be a question mark or a full stop? hmm)
It's rare to find people who haven't heard of livejournal these days but it's starting to be common place to hear people admit they have one.
Although I have my share of friends only posts, I don't understand why some people need completely friends only journals. Especially those who'll befriend anybody who shows any interest in them anyway. I guess it's part security and part embarrassment. I use friends posts to keep some names away from the general public but some days I really don't care and fail to change my security settings. As for personal security I think my walls have come almost completely down. Hell, I have my phone number available via my userinfo for a filtered group of friends. If I had a P.O. box I'd chuck that up there too.
Damn - I started rambling there and now I can't remember my point.
oh well - maybe I'll remember tomorrow.

Oh, you've got green eyes
Oh, you've got blue eyes
Oh, you've got grey eyes
And I've never seen anyone quite like you before
No, I've never met anyone quite like you before

Even though I loathe Valentines day I've found myself reading most of the comments/crushes/confessions in
21406. There are some funny ones but others are kind of sad.
On an unrelated note - I've been putting grammar rules and similar things into this little book. It's so I can have a quick reference guide instead of having multiple uni books with me all the time.

I guess I'm going to be one of the few that is bitching and complaining about Livejournal's Christmas Presents.
I guess early-adopters really are the forgotten second cousins that people don't think about.

I like LiveJournal.com because you get to visit other people's journals and learn about new things.
Example:
Tonight I learnt about Suicide Suspension. It looks amazing but scares me.

Sunday morning I usually have left over chinese with a mug o' coffee and watch Battlestar Galactica. It's a good way to start what is often a very lazy day. But now I'm just all pissed off. Why? Well I'll black out the text incase you don't want a spoiler.
Rape under any circumstance pissed me off. The 'cylon interrogator' deserved to die. If I was one of the guards I would have shot his sack off. Fucking Bastard. It's a shame Sharon couldn't fight back knowing that if she kicked his arse she'd be killed.
So anyway, have to wait until next year for them to finish off the story line. I'm not sure why they didn't just do a double episode. I hate cliffhangers like that.
I have to admit that I've enjoyed this second season immensely. The first season was half as good as what's been coming out lately.

The LJ schools directory has to be one of the best updates in recent years. The Curtin University group is slowly growing.
